If you are looking to buy Lumify eye drops in the UK, you may have noticed that there are several different sizes and types available.
At Enchanted Boutique I currently stock the 2.5ml bottle, the larger 7.5ml bottle and Lumify Preservative Free single use vials.
I thought it might be useful to explain the differences, particularly as the 2.5ml and 7.5ml bottles can sometimes cause a little confusion.
Lumify 2.5ml
The 2.5ml bottle is the smaller fill size and can be a good choice if you are trying Lumify for the first time or only use it occasionally.
It also costs less than the 7.5ml size, so it gives you the opportunity to try Lumify before deciding whether you would prefer the larger fill size next time.
Lumify 7.5ml
The 7.5ml bottle contains three times as much solution as the 2.5ml bottle.
It can be a good choice for people who already use Lumify regularly and would prefer to buy the larger fill size rather than purchasing the smaller one more frequently.
Important information about the bottle sizes
The 2.5ml and 7.5ml Lumify bottles are actually the same physical size.
This can sometimes cause confusion, particularly if you have previously bought the 2.5ml version and then order the 7.5ml version. When the larger one arrives, you may think that you have been sent the wrong size because the bottle itself looks the same.
The difference is the amount of solution inside the bottle. The 7.5ml bottle has a higher fill level, while the 2.5ml bottle contains less liquid.
So if you order the 7.5ml version and the bottle looks the same size as a 2.5ml bottle you have previously bought, please do not worry. This is normal. You can check the volume shown on the packaging and bottle label to confirm which size you have.
Lumify Preservative Free
Lumify Preservative Free is a little different because it comes in individual single use vials rather than a traditional multi use bottle.
Each pack contains 20 single use vials. They are convenient for carrying with you or taking when travelling, and they may also suit people who specifically prefer a preservative free eye drop.
What Does Lumify Do
Lumify contains brimonidine tartrate 0.025% and is intended for the temporary relief of eye redness.
It works by targeting certain blood vessels in the eye to reduce the appearance of redness.
As with any eye care product, you should always read and follow the directions supplied with the product.
If you have persistent redness, eye pain, changes in your vision or you are unsure whether Lumify is suitable for you, you should seek advice from a pharmacist, optometrist or doctor.
